During the loss to the Oakland Raiders on the road in Week 14, Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger went down with an injury and did not return. This shed some doubt on his status for Week 15 when the storied franchise will take on the New England Patriots at Heinz Field.

Roethlisberger blames an X-ray machine in Oakland for his inability to return to the game against the Raiders this past Sunday. The veteran quarterback claims the machine was so old that the results were inconclusive making it difficult for him to return to the field. The team wanted him to stay on the sidelines as a precaution, and that didn't exactly sit well with the two-time Super Bowl champion. However, he doesn't see any reason why he won't be back under center against the Patriots in Week 15, via NFL Network's Aditi Kinkhabwala.

The remaining schedule for the Steelers is anything but easy. Mike Tomlin's squad will have two tough matchups in the last three games. Pittsburgh will host Tom Brady's Patriots in Week 15 and take on the New Orleans Saints in Week 15 which will be arguably their toughest challenge of the season.

In the regular-season finale, the Steelers will go head-to-head against the lowly division rival Cincinnati Bengals. However, at this point, no win is guaranteed for Pittsburgh as their struggles continue. The Baltimore Ravens are putting pressure on Pittsburgh for the AFC North division title meaning the team can't take any game lightly from here on out, especially after the loss to the Raiders.
