Former Dallas Mavericks shooting guard Wesley Matthews has made just a single appearance as a member of the New York Knicks. However, it appears as though the recently traded sharpshooter could be on the move once again very soon with several teams lurking in the distance.

Either the Knicks can trade Matthews for the second time in about a week or the struggling Eastern Conference franchise could simply buy-out the veteran two-guard in order to shed some more money from the team's payroll going forward. With the NBA rumor mill continuing to churn at a very rapid pace around this time of year, reports are now indicating that the Oklahoma City Thunder could become a possible landing spot for Matthews.

According to a Monday report from Marc Stein of The New York Times, the Knicks are “exploring” the current trade market for the recently acquired Matthews. In addition to the aforementioned Thunder, it appears as though the Houston Rockets, Toronto Raptors, Philadelphia 76ers and defending champion Golden State Warriors may all be in play for Matthews' services at this time.

“The Knicks are exploring the trade market for Wes Matthews before Thursday's 3 p.m. deadline, league sources say, but there are also several antsy suitors hoping Matthews makes it to the buyout market,” Stein tweeted on Monday. “Among them: Houston, Oklahoma City, Toronto, Philadelphia and, yes, Golden State.”

With the Knicks clearly in full-on “tank” mode, it would be shocking to see Matthews make it to next week as a member of the once heralded franchise.
