Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Stefon Diggs missed practice on Wednesday as a result of non-injury reasons, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network. Rapoport notes that there is currently no explanation available.

It should be noted that Diggs has expressed visible frustration early this season and has not spoken to the media for two weeks.

Diggs' exasperation could very well be rooted in what has been a rough start to the year for the Vikings' passing game.

While Diggs finally broke out with seven catches for 108 yards during Minnesota's Week 4 loss to the Chicago Bears, the wide out had been a relative non-factor over the first three games, catching just six passes between Weeks 1 and 3.

On the season overall, Diggs has caught 13 passes for 209 yards and a touchdown.

The 25-year-old, who played his collegiate football at the University of Maryland, was originally selected by the Vikings in the fifth round (146th pick overall) of the 2015 NFL Draft.

He had an impressive rookie year, snaring 52 balls for 720 yards and four scores. Since then, Diggs has been a consistent and reliable weapon in Minnesota's offense, and last season, he hauled in 102 receptions for 1,021 yards while reaching the end zone nine times.

Diggs has yet to make a Pro Bowl appearance, but he has long been a steady contributor and a huge part of the Vikings' offense, so his limited use thus far in 2019 has to be frustrating.

Minnesota has gotten off to a 2-2 start on the year and will take on the New York Giants on Sunday.
