The Washington Wizards endured another loss on Wednesday against the Toronto Raptors, and poor 3-point shooting was the culprit behind their loss. However, Bradley Beal offered a rather interesting theory behind their struggles.

Per Fred Katz of The Athletic, Beal blamed gravity for their 29.3 percent shooting clip from downtown in their 137-115 loss to the Raptors.

“Gravity. Gravity just isn’t on our side. … Something’s in the air. Maybe if I play on the damn moon, shots are gonna go in,” the Wizards star shared.

The defeat marked the Wizards' seventh loss in 10 games, bringing their record to 6-16. Beal himself had 24 points, four rebounds and five assists, but he was just 1-of-6 from deep. Meanwhile, fellow All-Star Russell Westbrook had 23 points, six rebounds and seven assists.

“Nobody’s gonna dig us out of this hole but ourselves,” Beal added.

The Wizards and Bradley Beal's struggles have been one of the main narratives early this season. After all, analysts expected Washington to make waves after they acquired Westbrook via trade. While the Beal-Wall combo was one of the most exciting backcourt duos in the league, they weren't really getting the job done.

So far, the duo hasn't produced wins as it should. Even Beal's scoring outbursts were not enough to guide the Wizards to victories, which made him a hot topic in trade rumors. Some say that elite teams like the Los Angeles Lakers or the Miami Heat should acquire him so as not to let this season go to waste. Amid all this, Beal says that he intends to stay in in the Capital, believing that he can still eke out some victories.
