Isaiah Todd, a 5-star forward in the 2020 recruiting class, has committed to the Michigan Wolverines.

The 6-10 power forward, who attends Word of God Christian Academy in North Carolina, is a huge addition for new Michigan coach Juwan Howard and his staff as they try to keep the program on track after John Beilein took the Cleveland Cavaliers job.

Todd also had Kansas in his top two schools, with Kentucky, Memphis, North Carolina, and a host of others pursuing him during his recruitment.

He is rated as the top player in North Carolina and No. 12 player overall in the 2020 class, according to 247Sports.

Todd becomes the second player to join Howard's first recruiting class in Ann Arbor, as 4-star shooting guard Zeb Jackson committed to the school last year.

The Wolverines will tip off the new college basketball season against Appalachian State on Nov. 5.
