Minnesota Vikings safety Anthony Harris will be playing out the 2020 campaign on a franchise tag, so a lot of uncertainty surrounds his future in the Twin Cities.

However, Harris isn't too concerned about what the future holds:

“For anybody, in a dream world, you'd want things to go completely your way, no hiccups or anything like that,” said Harris, according to Andrew Krammer of The Minneapolis Star Tribune. “But honestly I wasn't really worried about it. I've always been saying my destiny will come to me.”

Harris was unable to strike a long-term agreement with the cash-strapped Vikings before the July 15 deadline. Last year, Minnesota placed a second-round restricted tender on Harris, so the defensive back is certainly no stranger to playing one-year pacts.

The 29-year-old is coming off of a breakout season in which he played 14 games and racked up 60 tackles, six interceptions, a fumble recovery, 11 passes defended and a defensive touchdown.

Harris, who played his collegiate football at the University of Virginia, went undrafted but eventually landed with the Vikings in 2015, where he played in just four games.

The following year, Harris appeared in every contest but only made three starts, finishing with 41 tackles and a fumble recovery. He held a similar niche in 2017 before carving out a larger role in 2018, starting nine of his 15 games and posting 46 stops, three picks and six passes defended.

Minnesota is coming off of a 2019-20 campaign in which it won 10 games and made it to the divisional round of the postseason, where it ultimately lost to the NFC champion San Francisco 49ers.
