While he remains a free agent after being waived by the New York Knicks last week, Mindaugas Kuzminskas now has a few teams that are rumored to be interested in his services. One of them is the Milwaukee Bucks, who could claim him off waivers, but will need to create a roster spot for him first, according to Michael Scotto of Basketball Insiders.

The Lithuanian forward’s potential addition to the Bucks makes a lot of sense, as he fits their fast paced game, and he also has the ability to play both forward positions. With Jason Kidd being a believer of positionless basketball, Kuzminskas fits the mold of the player the team who can thrive under his system, given his versatility and ability to score in different ways.

The 28-year-old appeared in 68 games for the Knicks last season, and became a fixture in the rotation of head coach Jeff Hornacek. He averaged decent numbers of 6.3 points, 1.9 rebounds and 1.0 assists in 14.3 minutes, and was able to show glimpses of his true potential during some stretches. If he does end up with the Bucks, it will be his chance to prove that he belongs in the NBA, and could also receive a consistent amount of playing time off the bench for the team.
