Chicago Bulls fans are already calling for the head of coach Jim Boylen with another disastrous season on its way to its conclusion. However, according to K.C. Johnson of NBC Sports, Boylen reportedly has strong backing from the organization, specifically from executive vice president John Paxson.

“We're obviously having a tough season. But all along, I've asked Jim to continue to focus on teaching our young players, focusing on development and accountability, and he is doing that for us,” Paxson told NBC Sports Chicago. “He and his staff continue to work with players in practice and through individual film work so they can continue to grow, which we all believe will pay dividends in the future.

Bulls fans are not going to like this. Chicago die-hards have been calling for some kind of change to get the Bulls out of mediocrity.

They have expressed their criticisms with regards to Boylen's coaching style, substitution strategies, and his timing in calling timeouts. However, it seems like the 54-year old's seat isn't as hot as many believe it to be.

The Bulls had high hopes to compete for a playoff spot this season. Clearly, however, that isn't going to happen with Chicago seven games behind the No. 8 seed with a 21-42 record.

Chicago's disappointing season isn't entirely on Boylen. To be fair, the Bulls have had injuries to some of their key players, such as Lauri Markkanen, Wendell Carter Jr., and Otto Porter Jr.

With the Bulls still struggling to find consistency and establish an identity, player development remains a major concern for them moving forward. Zach LaVine has established himself as an All-Star caliber player due to his elite offense. But his defense remains a work in-progress.

Coby White has recently shown flashes with Boylen giving him more opportunities post-All-Star break. Still, consistency will be the next step for the 20-year old rookie.
