Chicago Bulls forward Otto Porter Jr. has been sidelined since November 6 due to a fracture in his left foot. He's currently listed as “out indefinitely,” but a report from The Athletic indicates that the former No. 3 overall pick could be ready to return sometime around this season's All-Star break.

Bulls forward Otto Porter Jr. is aiming for a return around the All-Star break in February, according to league sources. Porter has played in only nine games and has not played since Nov. 6 due to a small fracture in his left foot.

As noted in the Athletic's report, Porter has made just nine appearances with the Bulls this season, racking up averages of 11.2 points on 41.7 percent shooting from the field (40.0 percent from beyond the arc), 3.4 rebounds, 1.6 assists and 1.0 steal in 25.1 minutes per outing.

There was some belief that Porter would be able to return sooner than this, but multiple MRI scans revealed that the fracture needs more time to heal. So long as Porter is out of commission, Kriss Dunn will continue to see an increased workload.

“It takes time. Every day it gets a little better. Baby steps,” Porter said earlier this month, via NBC Sports. “You can reaggravate it absolutely. And that’s what we’re trying to monitor to make sure that these days that I do activities, the next day it’s not over-aggravated or swells back up. We’re definitely watching it close.”

The Bulls fell to 12-20 with Monday night's 103-95 loss to the Orlando Magic. Chicago will look to get back into the win column on Friday, when they'll serve as hosts to the Atlanta Hawks.
