The Boston Celtics ended up with the third overall pick in the 2016 NBA Draft, but they haven't narrowed down who they want quite yet. In fact, there are many players they're considering.

Head coach Brad Stevens recently told reporters of the team's draft plans:

“I’ve got a good idea when I talk to Danny (Ainge) and the front office about who they are really targeting and focused on, as far as, again, there’s seven or eight guys.”

In addition to the No. 3 pick, Boston has the rights to picks No. 16, 23, 31, 35, 45, 51 and 58. With eight picks, it only makes sense that they are looking at more than one player in the three spot and beyond.

Stevens added:

“Whether you're watching clips, individual clips or highlight films or whatever the case may be, what I like to do is I like to watch full-game footage, and specifically end-of-game footage on a lot of different guys. We have so many picks, any game you turn on, almost might include somebody, so it's pretty good.”

Although it's all but decided that Ben Simmons and Brandon Ingram will be picked before the Celtics get a chance at them, only time will tell who they'll take third overall.
