After four years in Beantown, big man Daniel Theis found himself on the move once again as he was traded by the Boston Celtics at the trade deadline. He eventually posted a parting message for the Celtics organization and his former teammates via a post on Twitter.

The German center first came over from Europe and landed with the Celtics during his first season in the league back in 2017. He eventually managed to carve a role within the team and even became their starting center for the majority of this year's campaign.

Though he wasn't a household name like the other big men in the league, Theis still provided timely contributions for the Celtics whenever they needed it the most. In the 2020-21 season, he averaged 9.5 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 1.0 blocks through 42 games played for the Boston-based squad.

At the trade deadline, the Celtics decided that they needed to go in a different direction and make changes to their roster. Theis was eventually involved in a three-team trade with the Bulls and the Washington Wizards at the trade deadline which led him to start a new chapter in Chicago for the remainder of the season.

Theis will definitely be a good addition for the Bulls' frontline unit which is currently bannered by their newly-acquired All-Star forward in Nikola Vucevic. On the other hand, the Celtics got younger as they landed both Moritz Wagner and Luke Kornet via the three-team trade.

After spending four years with the team, the 27-year-old center will definitely be missed by the Celtics' faithful. Hopefully, Daniel Theis will be able to start anew and attain greater success with his new team moving forward.
