Lady luck wasn't smiling on the Boston Celtics at the start of the season, as the team struggled to find an identity after a busy summer of changes. Despite their talent, the Celtics couldn't find a rhythm to keep up with the other contenders in the Eastern Conference.

Well, now, it seems lady luck is grinning ear to ear for the Celtics, as they notched their eighth straight win on Sunday night after beating the Atlanta Hawks, 105-95.

Jayson Tatum once again led the Celtics with a double-double of 38 points and 10 rebounds. After the game, when asked their mindset amid their winning streak, the All-Star forward issued a bold remark (via ESPN).

“We're just cooking right now.”

It definitely smells good for the fans, who have been clamoring for a strong stretch from Tatum and company. After the win over the Hawks, the Celtics are now 33-25 and moved up to the sixth spot in the Eastern Conference.

The Celtics previously had trouble closing out games, leading to bitter losses. But it seems they have found the right groove, according to Tatum's co-star Jaylen Brown.

“We definitely lost some games we felt like we shouldn't have lost early in the season. Now we get the chance to play some of these teams again and we're looking to pull out some wins. We had a lot of guys making plays right now and that's what we need to do in the fourth quarter. We've been finding ways to win—defensively, timely baskets and we've been sealing out games.”

The Celtics will try to make it nine wins in a row on Tuesday but it won't be easy against the new-look Philadelphia 76ers.
