Boston Celtics fans have noticed it. Rookie Jayson Tatum, too, is beginning to notice that the ball keeps slipping off his hand on a consistent basis.

As reported by Jay King of Mass Live, Tatum noticed that the ball suddenly slips off his hand when he's about to finish a drive.

“Bad luck, I guess,” Tatum said after a recent practice. “I've noticed it too. I don't have an explanation for it. It's just like, ‘Sh–,' and it comes out of my hand.”

Several people have noticed this flaw, too, and have flocked to Twitter to raise their frustrations.

It's one of the few flaws that the 20-year-old has in his game. He's been doing extremely well in his rookie season with the Celtics. So far, he's logging in 13.3 points, along with 5 rebounds, and 1.4 assists per contest.

Like every good player, no problem can go on unaddressed. Tatum has thought of one probable solution to his woes:

“I think probably just extending my arms out, giving the ref a clear view,” he said. “I've got long arms, so if I put it out there guys are more likely to hit my arm than the ball and I'll get some calls.”

Apart from which, supreme focus on every drive should help Tatum finish the play instead of letting it slip off his hands.

“Just try to focus more, keep control of the ball when I go through the paint,” Tatum said. “Because guys are swiping down. And maybe I'm thinking they're about to swipe down and I lose the ball. So I just have to take better care of the ball.”
