The Boston Celtics found a way to defeat the Miami Heat in Game 7. It was a hard-fought battle, but Boston overcame Miami with a ton of help from Jayson Tatum. The rising superstar shared an emotional message after the game though, as he apparently sent a text message to Kobe Bryant before tip-off.

In an Instagram post, Jayson Tatum shared numerous images of the Celtics celebrating the big win over the Heat:

The very last image was a snapshot of a text message he sent to Kobe Bryant's old phone number:

Celtics, Jayson Tatum, Kobe Bryant

Bryant was a mentor for Tatum when he first entered the league and clearly misses the Los Angeles Laker and NBA icon.

Jayson Tatum very clearly models his game after Kobe Bryant and it's obvious when he's on the court. He's stepped up his skillset over the years and has become a household name in the league. The Celtics are in good hands with Tatum on the roster, as he chases after the first championship of his career right now. Bryant was a leader and mentor for many and clearly made an impact on Boston's young superstar.

It'll be interesting to see how the Celtics do against the Golden State Warriors in the NBA Finals. Game 1 will be intriguing, as Golden State has had multiple days of rest. Meanwhile, Boston is coming off of another seven-game series. Either way, Jayston Tatum will play a large role throughout this upcoming series as he hopes to bring home the 18th championship in franchise history.
