Kyrie Irving's hot start to the season has not gone unnoticed, as he is receiving a lot of high praise for leading the Boston Celtics to the league's best record of 13-2, including 13 straight wins. Despite all the headlines he was part of regarding his request from the Cleveland Cavaliers to be traded in the offseason, it does not seem to affect his preparations for this season.
Outside of the work he's put in inside the gym and weight room, the Celtics' All-Star point guard revealed recently what his secret is to playing very well right now. He alluded his high level of play to his vegan diet, which he believes has helped him to further improve as a player, via Tom Haberstroh of Bleacher Report.
So, is it possible that the secret to Irving’s hot start is…that he’s gone vegan? B/R Mag asked him just that.
“I think we can credit that in the win column,” Irving told me after the Hawks game, rocking a gray sweatshirt inside a slim-tailored navy suit. “We lost the first two games, won the last nine games. I haven’t changed any diet. I don’t plan on changing anything in my diet. It’s working out great so far.”

With Kyrie Irving talking about his new diet, it could inspire more players to follow suit, as his performances more than proves the effectiveness of the lifestyle adjustment.
Irving went green upon being traded to the Celtics, and he is definitely taking the phrase “going green” not only to heart, but also to his stomach.
