The Boston Celtics will play their final game of the 2019 regular season on Tuesday night. Their first goal is to win and secure the fourth seed in the Eastern Conference, earning them home-court advantage in the first round.

However, the team's next priority is to get healthy before the postseason. In particular, two starters will sit against the Washington Wizards as they recover from injuries. Via Adam Himmelsbach of The Boston Globe on Twitter:

Forward Jayson Tatum and guard Marcus Smart have missed time with various injuries as of late. Tatum has a lower leg injury, while Smart has a strained oblique. But the good news is that both players appear to be on the mend. They will have until the playoffs begin on Saturday to get back into game shape.

Boston will need both players healthy if they want to make a deep run. Tatum is one of the team's top scorers. The 21-year-old averaged 15.7 points, 6.0 rebounds and 2.1 assists in the regular season. As the 2017 third overall pick, the Celtics expect Tatum to lead the team for years to come.

Smart, on the other hand, is a good defender and an all-around contributor. The 25-year-old averaged 8.9 points, 2.9 rebounds and 4.0 assists. The guard will not be a free agent until 2022, according to Spotrac.

At 48-33, the Celtics hold the fourth seed in the East over the Indiana Pacers. A win on Tuesday night would clinch the spot.

They will face a disappointing Wizards team that, at 32-49, has little left to play for.
