The Boston Celtics received encouraging news on Friday when it was reported that center Tacko Fall should only miss one week after suffering a sprained knee in workouts:

It is worrisome anytime someone of Fall's size suffers a knee injury. As a 7-foot-7 center, the big man's knees are already under a lot of pressure. It's good to hear he seems to have dodged any serious injury.

Even though he has yet to play an NBA game, Fall has become a fan favorite in Boston. The UCF product went undrafted in the 2019 NBA Draft, even after having an impressive performance in the 2019 NCAA Tournament. Teams were wary of picking a player of Fall's size who lacked athleticism.

The Senegalese national showed that he was plenty athletic in workouts for Boston, and the Celtics quickly signed him to an Exhibit 10 contract.

As previously mentioned, the fan base in Boston has gone crazy over Fall. He has seen a huge wave of support from the Celtics faithful, from chanting his name in Summer League games to having him sign pictures of tacos.

Now, the big man has a chance to officially make the team when training camp tips off in a few weeks. Let's hope the knee injury heals up quick so Tacko Fall can be healthy for camp.
