A few days ago, former San Antonio Spurs defensive stopper Bruce Bowen was removed as TV analyst for the L.A. Clippers. It seems like a former Clippers center will be replacing Bowen as the team could be hiring ESPN's Ryan Hollins.

Andrew Marchand of the New York Post posted this recent development in his Twitter account.

“Heard ESPN's Ryan Hollins is a candidate for the LA Clippers' TV analyst job. The Clippers let go former ESPNer Bruce Bowen reportedly because he made comments that could potentially hurt their pursuit of Kawhi Leonard next year.”

Known as a rugged defender throughout his career, Bowen drew the ire of the Clippers' top brass when he criticized former San Antonio Spurs superstar Kawhi Leonard on SiriusXM NBA Radio.

“I think there's nothing but excuses going on. First, it was, ‘Well I was misdiagnosed.' Look here: You got $18 million this year, and you think that they're trying to rush you? You didn't play for the most part a full season this year. And you're the go-to guy, you're the franchise, and you want to say that they didn't have your best interest at heart? Are you kidding me?”

Leonard was shipped to the Toronto Raptors after a tumultuous year with the Spurs. The 2014 Finals MVP reportedly does not have plans on signing an extension with the Raps, making him an unrestricted free agent come 2019.

With that, Leonard is believed to still have an inclination on signing with either the Clippers or the Los Angeles Lakers next year.

The Clippers deemed Bowen's comments could hurt their chances of landing Leonard next year and did not offer him another contract, per ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.
