Earlier this offseason, the Philadelphia Eagles made the decision to part ways with veteran linebacker Mychal Kendricks after six seasons. This has put him on the open market with training camp well underway around the league with several teams holding the need to add more help at the linebacker position.

According to Jordan Schultz of Yahoo Sports, the 27-year-old already has lined up visits with a few different teams that include the Minnesota Vikings, Oakland Raiders and Cleveland Browns.

Kendricks could quickly step into a prominent role with each of these teams to provide stability to that unit of the defense. Since being selected with the 46th overall pick in the second round of the 2012 NFL Draft, Kendrick has brought much consistency and stability to the Eagles’ linebacker corps, recording 459 total tackles with 14.0 sacks, three interceptions, six forced fumbles and five fumble recoveries.

He is also coming off a productive 2017 campaign where he recorded 77 total tackles with 2.0 sacks and six pass deflections.

He is a proven commodity that could be a difference maker defensively that has shown he can excel in a primary role during his tenure with the Eagles. It may simply come down to where he believes he has the best chance to win next season as the Vikings could present that best option after reaching the NFC Championship game last season.

Meanwhile, the Raiders and Browns have undergone much change to their respective rosters over the past few months of the offseason that could see them take a significant step forward in 2018.

This appears that it may just be a matter of time before Kendricks finds his next home in the NFL this offseason during team workouts in order to get his fit under him in his new surroundings well ahead of the start of the 2018 campaign.
