Formula 1 Championship leader Max Verstappen shares his surprising reaction to winning the United States Grand Prix.

Despite extending his lead over Lewis Hamilton to 12 points, Red Bull's Max Verstappen gives a nonchalant response to his crucial race win over a seven-time world champion. The Dutch star has had intense battles against Hamilton, which includes controversial crashes. Solidifying a lead can indeed trigger an exciting response from Verstappen, but instead, the opposite was observed after the race.

“This doesn't really change a lot,” Verstappen told select media including RacingNews365.com when asked whether his victory had given him more confidence.

“Because it's all about details, I always say it, so a win doesn’t give me more confidence or whatever.

With just five races to go, fans anticipate another intense conclusion to an entertaining Formula 1 season. The next few races will have such crucial pressure on the championship-contending teams, but Verstappen seems confident in his and the team's capabilities.

“We are all confident within the team that we can do a really good job, but we need to nail the details and we have to start over again in Mexico, to try to get the best out of our whole package.”

As Verstappen will have an opportunity to close out the title in a few races, Red Bull aims to snatch the constructor championship from Mercedes.
