After a horrendous 4-16 start to the 2019-20 NBA regular season, it's quite clear that the New York Knicks don't possess enough talent to compete with the best teams in the Eastern Conference.

But as far as head coach David Fizdale is concerned, his young squad simply needs to get over a mental hurdle in order to string a few wins together.

Some Twitter users, however, have expressed their desire for a coaching change after Fizdale's comments.

Currently in the midst of an ugly six-game slump, the Knicks are tied with the Atlanta Hawks for the worst record in the East. Only the injury-stricken Golden State Warriors have fared worse than New York, possessing a league-worst 4-17 win-loss slate.

For what it's worth though, the Knicks are healthy overall while the Warriors are missing their key players and are playing with a bunch of young and inexperienced players.

The Knicks also rank near the bottom in several statistical categories like points (101.6), 3-point percentage (31.2), free-throw percentage (67.5) and assists (20.0).

Free agent pick-ups Marcus Morris and Elfrid Payton have emerged as the team's leaders, while third overall pick of this year's draft RJ Barett has shown glimpses of stardom from time to time. Still, the Knicks are looking for that franchise savior who will elevate the storied team back to relevance.
