Dennis Smith Jr. is a very popular guy, which doesn't always have its perks.

The 21-year-old New York Knicks point guard said via Twitter that his email and Instagram accounts were hacked on Friday.

As if this kid hasn't been through enough hysteria this season, they won't even let him manage his social media and email accounts in peace. He was able to find restitution after a short period of worry.

It's possible that Knicks fans will be looking to find justice for DSJ, since he's fit seamlessly into their basketball culture.

After a so-so start to his second season in the NBA, Smith was dealt to the Knicks just a week before the Feb. 7 trade deadline. Since then, however, he has established a tremendous rapport with the fans at Madison Square Garden and is prepping to become the franchise floor general for many years to come.

As such, head coach David Fizdale is doing everything in his power to groom him for a vast improvement by next season.

“How we do things here, we really want to jump-start him on educating him about nutrition and what he’s putting in his body and how we go about getting in better shape at this time of year so we don’t crush his legs, Fizdale recently told Marc Berman of The New York Post. And how’s his sleep? We had a good long talk about that, and I spent a lot of time with him trying to educate him on the importance of all this stuff. He really took it to heart.”

Dennis Smith Jr. is currently averaging a few more points per contest than what he had in Dallas for the Mavericks earlier this season – with 15.5 points, 6.6 assists, and 1.5 steals.
