New York Knicks guard Derrick Rose has a lot of love for the one and only Kanye West. The former league MVP proved just that on a recent Instagram post wherein he shared just how much admiration he had for Kanye.

In a lengthy post, Rose pretty much gave a summary of West's life story as well as how his own relationship with the hip-hop mogul has evolved through the years:

Derrick Rose and Kanye West both hail from Chicago and there's no denying that the home-town connection is there:

“He's from Chicago and we are use to people trying to shit on us,” the Knicks guard wrote. “The environment is full of THAT hate you showed. Who really cares if it's 1 or 6 BILLION lol. He represents Black Opulence and we love Ye for that and always will. People hate on him but deeeeeep down you know it's inspiring. Peace and love King. “

Similar to Kanye's rise-to-fame narrative, Rose himself has been through quite a few trials in his life. The Knicks vet worked his way up to become the youngest MVP in league history. Not long after, his career was derailed by multiple injuries that could have easily put an end to what was a very bright future ahead. Rose emerged from the dark once again, and he has since had a resurgence in the past few years.

It is also worth noting that Adidas and Kanye West recently announced that the rapper's Yeezy sneaker line is going to get a new Derrick Rose-inspired update. The YZY D Rose is reportedly set to hit stores “soon” with two of Adidas' biggest names collaborating for what could be an epic pair of kicks.
