New York Knicks guard Austin Rivers had a big fourth quarter in their win over the Utah Jazz on Wednesday. The performance raised eyebrows across the league, including that of Miami Heat icon Dwyane Wade.

Via Twitter, Wade gave Rivers a shoutout, noting that he saw his strong fourth quarter in their 112-110 win over the Jazz. Wade also hinted that Rivers is inching ā€œcloserā€ to the next level.

Rivers scored 14 straight points for the Knicks in the final quarter, including a dagger 3-pointer to seal the win. He finished the game with 23 points on 9-of-14 shooting from the field and 5-of-7 from downtown.

Along with Rivers, other Knicks players had a productive night. Julius Randle continues his stellar year with 30 points, 16 rebounds, and seven assists. Elfrid Payton had 22 points and nine assists. The win brings the Knicks record to 5-3 in the young season.

After the game, Rivers expressed his confidence in his new team who picked him up on a three-year, $10 million deal in the offseason. He knows there's a lot of work to be done. But in his eyes, this is a different Knicks team from before.

ā€˜Iā€™ve been on bad teams before, this is not one. I can promise you that. I donā€™t know where weā€™ll end up. Thereā€™s so much work to doā€¦But I do know the spirit is differentā€¦This is not the Knick team thatā€¦yaā€™ll have been covering,ā€ Rivers said, per Ian Begley of SNY.

Wednesday's win marks the Knicks' third victory in a row. They have a chance to extend the streak on Friday against the Oklahoma City Thunder.
