Walt Frazier and Carmelo Anthony are two legendary members of the New York Knicks. But while Clyde's No. 10 jersey hangs from the rafters in Madison Square Garden, the Hall of Famer doesn't think Melo's No. 7 will ever join it.

Frazier appeared on NBA Today on SiriusXM NBA Radio and was asked whether or not Melo's jersey will ever be retired in New York. Clyde is always one to give his honest opinion:

“Probably not because he didn’t win a title,” Frazier said. “I’m surprised they didn’t put Allan Houston up there. I’m surprised Bernard King, who is in the Hall of Fame, they haven’t put Bernard up there. So those two guys I think are deserving. Perhaps maybe John Starks. Even the Oak Man, Charles Oakley, but that probably won’t happen with all the stuff he’s done at the Garden. So he’s not held in high esteem right now but I don’t see them putting Melo in there because of that.”

Clyde has a point here. Melo is certainly in the conversation for all-time Knicks, but he might not have enough on his resume to warrant hanging his jersey in the rafters.

He made the All-Star Game every season in New York, but the Knicks only made the playoffs three times and the furthest they advanced was to the Eastern Conference Semifinals. His statistics and individual accomplishments are impressive, but in New York, it's all about winning.

There's an argument to be made for Melo considering he stuck with the organization through tumultuous times, but when Knicks fans look back on his career in New York, winning was few and far between.
