At this point in the season, it appears that all hope has been lost for the struggling New York Knicks. So much so, that the team's official Twitter account has decided to just omit the final score in a couple of their previous contests. Well, this is completely understandable when your team ends up losing by an average margin of 40.5 points in their last two.

The Knicks suffered another thrashing on Thursday, as they fell to the Denver Nuggets 129-92. All five starters struggled for New York, as they combined for a grand total of just 38 points on the evening. Mitchell Robinson was the lone bright spot for the Knicks, as the promising big man logged 17 points (6-of-8 shooting, 5-of-8 from the stripe), seven rebounds, an assist, two steals, and a block in 30 minutes off the New York bench.

This blowout was preceded by yet another pummeling on Monday, when the Knicks embarrassingly endured a 132-88 defeat against the league-best Milwaukee Bucks.

The Knicks are now 4-18, and are currently lying at the very bottom of the Eastern Conference standings. They are just one game ahead of the Golden State Warriors (4-19), who themselves have had an equally, if not even more depressing start to the season.

New York will have Friday off to recover from what has been nothing less than a humiliating past few days. They will be back in action on Saturday to host the Indiana Pacers in Madison Square Garden. The Knicks are not expected to win that one, but hopefully for them, they are able to avoid another blowout.
