New York Knicks‘ Kristaps Porzingis wasted no time announcing himself to Houston RocketsClint Capela by rejecting the big man with two hands at the rim.

The 7-foot-3 second-year forward timed his jump impeccably, putting up both arms in volleyball-like fashion and leaving Capela helpless at the rim.

Porzingis was by far the best player in an otherwise disappointing Knicks starting lineup — he totaled 22 points, four rebounds, a steal, and two blocks in 27 minutes of action.

The Latvian international has seemed to make plenty of improvements as head coach Jeff Hornacek raved about his improved post game and long-range shot. He went 5-for-6 from deep and an impressive 8-for-11 from the floor.

The Knicks will certainly benefit from performances like this as long as Kristaps Porzingis doesn't become the forgotten man with Carmelo Anthony and Derrick Rose on the floor.
