It appears Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James had himself a nice little night out ahead of the play-in game against Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors on Wednesday night.

To be clear, the Lakers star's shenanigans were seemingly on Monday night and not actually the day before the play-in game on Tuesday night. This is based on Instagram posts from Drake and Lenny Santiago:

Michael B. Jordan also posted pictures from the event, which was held to celebrate the launch of LeBron James' new tequila, Lobos 1707. It's interesting to note that all the posts were on Tuesday night, so was there some misdirection going on here? Was this event actually on Taco Tuesday and a night before the Lakers play?

The guess is this was all just part of the coordinated social media rollout for this tequila, and all the guys needed to have their professionally done pictures prepared after the Monday event for their Taco Tuesday night posts. Lakers fans probably don't have to worry about LeBron being hungover on Wednesday night, but if he struggles, the conspiracy theorists will surely have a field day.

There's also the question of COVID-19 protocols, of course, but allegedly everybody at the event was tested and vaccinated. Who knows how true that actually is, but I don't think we're going to see LeBron James getting in trouble right before the Lakers' big play-in game.

The Lakers and Warriors will do battle for the No. 7 seed in the Western Conference and the right to face the Phoenix Suns in the first round of the playoffs. The loser of the showdown will face the winner of San Antonio Spurs-Memphis Grizzlies play-in game.
