The Los Angeles Lakers have yet to win a game in the NBA preseason with the team dropping all three matchups so far. Rookie phenom Lonzo Ball played in only two of those games as he suffered an ankle sprain in the loss to the Denver Nuggets in the team's first game at the Staples Center last weekend.

Unfortunately for Ball, the ankle sprain will apparently keep him out a second straight game with the UCLA product being ruled out of Sunday's showdown with the Sacramento Kings at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

Ball's injury has been diagnosed as a mild left ankle sprain and with only two preseason games left after Sunday's matchup, it not beyond the realm of possibility that he's won't play again until the regular-season opener on Oct. 19.

Along with Ball, veteran center Andrew Bogut was also ruled out against the Kings. Bogut has yet to play a game for the Lakers since making his surprise signing with the team last month. The journeyman is currently dealing with what is being called a strained left groin injury.

As for Brandon Ingram, who missed last game due to a head contusion he suffered in practice last week, it appears he will return to the floor on Sunday and attempt to fill the void left by Ball's absence. Ingram talked about playing some point guard in practice this week, so he may initiate the offense on more than one occasion against the Kings.
