The extremely popular hockey film, The Mighty Ducks, is trending again after some of the original cast posed for a reunion photo nearly 30 years after the release of the first film.

As for someone born in the year 1991, I believed I was young, and getting a start on my career. But after seeing the reunion photo, I've realized how much I've aged. Andrew Gruttadaro seems to agree, as his soul is as crushed as mine.

Mighty Ducks starred Emilio Esteves as the head coach of the children's hockey team. Having an extremely prominent career in Hollywood, Esteves is known for his roles in the entire Might Ducks series, as well as The Breakfast Club and Young Guns. Famously known as the son of Martin Sheen, and brother of Charlie Sheen, Esteves has earned his way as a star in the acting community.

The Mighty Ducks cast reunited, as the storyline has been brought back to life with a TV series on the way. Esteves will be reprising his role as Gordan Bombay and seems to have a main role in the upcoming series.

This could be a trend we continue to see after the popular continuation of The Karate Kid hit Netflix not long ago.

The new series is highly anticipated as it should be something all generations look forward to. Hopefully, it captures the same nostalgia the new Karate Kid series has, as that could be a great way to keep the Mighty Ducks story alive and well.

The Mighty Ducks: Game Changers is set to hit Disney+ on March 25th.
