The New Orleans Pelicans are now on the clock to decide on the final roster to begin the 2016-2017 regular season.
Already missing Jrue Holiday and Tyreke Evans, the team is now faced with the question of who among Lance Stephenson and Alonzo Gee should they keep and cut, per NOLA.com’s John Reid.
In five preseason games, Stephenson averaged 6.2 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 3.8 assists in 23 minutes per game. On the other hand, Gee had a forgettable preseason, playing in only nine minutes per game with a 1.4 points per game average.
It’s a choice between the Stephenson’s offensive skills as against Gee’s defensive potential.
The Pelicans are expected to decide within the next few hours who among these two camp invites will be joining them in the regular season.
