Houston Rockets Genereal Manager Daryl Morey has never been one to shy away from voicing his strong opinions.

With that in mind, it should be no shock that Morey believes his Rockets are as loaded as they have ever been during his time with the team.

Speaking to reporters in a video posted by The Athletic's Kelly Iko, Morey had this to say on the subject.

“It's tough every year but we do believe we have the best team we've had to go out and tackle the West.”

Despite losing key contributors such as Trevor Ariza and Luc A Moute, the Rockets feel they are ready to finish what they started a season ago.

After compiling the league's best regular season record, the Rockets were up 3-2 on the Golden State Warriors before losing the final two games of the series.

Chris Paul was unable to go in those series deciding games, leaving the Rockets with thoughts of what could have been.

Houston has since added Carmelo Anthony, Brandon Knight and Marquese Chriss, among others, and are geared up to take another run at it.

Morey is also as aggressive as any general manager in the NBA. so if the opportunity arises to improve the team even more, the Rockets will not hesitate to do so.

The Western Conference has gotten even stronger since Houston's big season a year ago but if Morey has anything to say about it, Houston is the team to beat.
