Tyrese Haliburton is loving life with his new team, the Indiana Pacers. As a matter of fact, he's been making a lot of noise since his big move from the Sacramento Kings.

In a recent appearance on NBA Today, Haliburton talked about the recent trade as he admitted how shocked he was with Sacramento's decision to send him packing. In the process, it sounds like he had a bit of a veiled parting shot for his former team, too.

When asked what he believes is the difference between the Kings and the Pacers, the 21-year-old guard had a very interesting response:

“The organization base they're used to winning, you know what I'm saying,” Haliburton said. “That sounds a little crazy to say but you're talking about a rebuild, this is a soft rebuild. It's been a down year for Indiana but you're probably gonna get a good draft pick, have cap space in the offseason. And next year the expectations are what they usually are for the Pacers and that's make the playoffs.”

The entire panel started laughing when Haliburton said that the Pacers were an organization that was “used to winning.” Looking at Indiana's track record over the past few years, you can say that this isn't exactly true. However, some of the laughs from around the room could have been prompted by Haliburton implying that on the contrary, the Kings were not a winning franchise.

Haliburton did not take a direct shot at the Kings here but it's not hard to read between the lines.
