All may be lost for one-half of the New Orleans Pelican's devastating twin towers as far as the rest of the season is concerned, but DeMarcus Cousins is still hard at work rehabbing his torn Achilles in hopes of coming back stronger than ever.

Whether it's with the Pelicans or another team willing to take a gamble on the injured center is something we'll have to wait and see, but the team is still keeping tabs on him, sharing a tweet of “Big Cuz” working out.

According to ESPN's Marc Spears, this is apparently part of an intense weekly six-day workout regimen to get the four-time All-Star back into game shape and has recently returned to his offseason home in Las Vegas to resume his rehab after months of doing so in Los Angeles.

An unfortunate downside to this is that attending a Pelicans game to cheer on his teammates against the Portland Trail Blazers would prove to be improbable, but the versatile big man still intends to be on at least one of the upcoming games.

In an ESPN article, Pelicans head coach Alvin Gentry iterated the morale boost Cousins' presence would give the team, but concedes that it is indeed a tricky possibility.

“We would love for him to be here because he's been an integral part of this. I feel really bad for him because he's been great for us.”

Cousins, however, tweeted a short video of his foot being worked on (as part of his “Resurgence” theme) with the text “Coachella vibes” around the time the Pelicans were battling the Blazers, leading to speculation that he may be enjoying the sights and sounds in the nearby desert festival.

Cousins was quick to shut it down (via a 9-second Instagram story) citing that he was actually “tuned in” to the game.
