The Minnesota Vikings pillaged the Green Bay Packers on Sunday, 34-31 to register arguably their biggest of the season and resuscitate their flatlining hopes to advance to the NFL Playoffs.

Quarterback Kirk Cousins starred for the Vikings, finishing with 341 yards and three touchdowns as he kept pace with Packers star and reigning MVP Aaron Rodgers, who ended up with a season-high 385 yards and four touchdowns.

But despite the huge upset win, Cousins wasn't too satisfied, saying he might have been too aggressive, perhaps alluding to a near-error in the dying minutes that could've cost the Vikings the win. The veteran QB, however, got a reassuring reminder from coach Mike Zimmer (via Sports Illustrated's Will Ragatz).

“I want him to keep doing it like he's doing it. If you throw an interception, you throw an interception. That's life. If we keep going for the jugular, that opens up a lot of other things.”
The Vikings carved out the victory with a last-gasp 29-yard field goal from kicker Greg Joseph, improving their win-loss slate to 5-5. While he was hard on himself, the 33-year-old Cousins also enjoyed the nip-and-tuck affair with the Packers (via ESPN).
“It’s just life in the NFL. It’s exciting. I certainly understand why people want to follow and watch it.”
The Vikings hope to build on their momentum when they take on the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday.
