Minnesota Vikings superstar Dalvin Cook has found himself in the middle of a legal battle after a female acquaintance allegedly broke into his home and assaulted him. Vikings head coach Mike Zimmer reacted to the news on Wednesday in a press conference:

This stands to reason. The NFL usually deals with situations like this. It doesn't have much to do with the organization. The woman, who is apparently ex-military, is now trying to extort the Vikings running back for money because of injuries she sustained in an attack that she started. Cook was simply defending himself. There's currently a pending litigation on the incident.

Cook's attorney released a statement that discussed how the woman became emotionally and physically abusive and even damaged his vehicles on two different occasions. She also wouldn't let the Vikings All-Pro see other women, even though their relationship was very short-lived.

As we know, the NFL doesn't mess around with domestic violence cases. Cook is clearly the victim here though and shouldn't be facing any repercussions for simply standing up for himself. The woman identified as Gracelyn Trimble and said that Cook left her with a concussion and a scar after flying to Minnesota to break up with him. According to the lawsuit, she maced the Vikings RB as well.
