The San Antonio Spurs had an incredible run with superstar players. David Robinson passed the torch to Tim Duncan, who carried it for seemingly like forever until he handed it off to a reluctant Kawhi Leonard (who then forced his way out of town).

Now, the Spurs are in uncharted territory after more than two decades, having missed the playoffs for the first time in 22 seasons under Gregg Popovich. They do have a collection of solid young players with potential such as Derrick White, Dejounte Murray, Keldon Johnson, and Lonnie Walker.

However, the question remains: what's the next step?

On the daily Locked On Spurs podcast, host Jeff Garcia and a panel of Spurs media members discussed the state of the Spurs and if anyone on the roster is untouchable in trade talks.

Jeff Garcia: Are any of the Spurs on this current roster untouchable? As by way of trade? Why are we not explain?

Casey Viera: If anything, I think one can make the argument that they should put out feelers for every single guy on the roster. You can make that argument because I have a very strong definition of untouchable. I associate untouchable to maybe a 10 to 15 player in the league. That's probably even generous, maybe the top 10 players in the league you call untouchable. Who on the roster right now resembles that of a top 10 player? Who in that roster represents a pretty good player that can be in the league for a little while? There are several guys on the team, Dejounte Murray, Derrick White of course is the obvious candidate here.

In terms of testing feelers, if you're going to commit to the rebuild and truly go young and you think you can get good assets for more than cents on the dollar for a team willing to stay and for a lot of these younger guys, then I think you explore it. I don't think they will, but if it comes to the term untouchable right now, I don't think anybody on the roster is and you'd want to listen to the trade call.
