Top Pokemon Astral Radiance Cards to Add to Your Collection
Article Continues BelowPokemon Astral Radiance brings players back to the past in the Hisui Region first introduced in Pokemon Legends: Arceus. Hence, players should expect Hisuian forms of Pokemon, as well as the powerful Pokemon VSTAR cards, and the brand-new Radiant Pokemon. Of course, the Trainer Gallery returns with Full-Art Reprints of some very popular cards. Add more to your hype for the latest Pokemon TCG set by looking at these top 10 cards to look out for in Pokemon TCG's next expansion.
- Temple of Sinnoh
Temple of Sinnoh is one of the Secret cards in the set, which are not included in the game's official card list. This Stadium is a great counter-measure against opponents who run meta decks with very powerful Pokemon that are amplified in strength thanks to Special Energy cards. Temple of Sinnoh essentially levels the playing field by turning all Special Energy into basic Normal Energy, which should be beneficial to you if you only have Basic Energy cards in your deck.
- Origin Forme Dialga VSTAR
Origin Forme Dialga VSTAR is yet another Secret card in this set. This card starts off strong with Metal Blast, which makes it a powerful card at any point in the game. You can also use its VSTAR Power Star Chronos to evaporate opponents with a powerful 1-2 punch, allowing you to take another turn after that attack. The only sad part about this card is its Steel typing and Fire Weakness. Knowing how popular Fire decks are, it's risky running this card in your deck. Meanwhile, this card also has a Rainbow Rare version that fetches a way higher price in the secondary market – or a beautiful bling card in your collection. - Origin Forme Palkia VSTAR
Origin Forme Palkia VSTAR is also a Secret card in this set that also has a Rainbow Rare version. If you're able to play this card early, its Subspace Swell is a fantastic attack that can punish your opponents for playing too safe with their bench. Star Portal allows you to accelerate and catch up when you're already behind, but it's not really an Ability that can win you games, sadly. - Garchomp V (Trainer Gallery)
This one, we're picking out of sentimentality. This Trainer Gallery card features the strong Garchomp V – but admittedly it wouldn't have made it in our list if it's just for its power. Garchomp V is hardly one of the strongest cards in this set. Instead, we're picking this card because it also features the ever-elegant Cynthia. The Sinnoh Champion makes an appearance in the set not as her Trainer Card but also alongside Garchomp V in the Trainer Gallery version of the card.
- Radiant Hawlucha
New to the Astral Radiance expansion is the new Radiant Mechanic – you can only have one of them in your deck, but feature the Shiny version of a Pokemon in the card's art. Headlining the new Radiant cards is Radiant Hawlucha who performs best as a support card in the bench, allowing your Active Pokemon to hit VMAX Pokemon harder. - Radiant Heatran
The next Radiant card in our list is Radiant Heatran – a basic card that is interesting and will mostly fetch some sales only because of its Radiant Nature. We're sure that there's going to be a lot of these cards in circulation, though, so don't get fooled! Still, a unique card that every trainer should add in their collection. - Radiant Greninja
Greninja is a very popular card – and among the three Radiant Pokemon we featured in this list, this one brings the most utility. Radiant Greninja accelerates your hand draw with the Concealed Cards ability, allowing you to throw out an Energy Card for a chance for more from your deck. This Pokemon also has some reach, hitting any Pokemon from the Bench or the Active play any time they use Moonlight Shuriken. Just make sure you stocked up well on Energy Cards in your deck! - Hisuian Typholosion VStar
Now we're down to our last three cards in this list, and we start off with Hisuian Typhlosion VSTAR. Hollow Flame is a great setup if you're somehow able to run this card alongside Hisuian Samurott VSTAR below, letting Samurott take down all of your other opponents as Typhlosion leaves the battlefield. Shimmering Star is also a surprisingly good way to beatdown your opponents' Pokemon out of nowhere! This and the two final evolution Pokemon Legends Arceus starters also have Rainbow Rare art versions so be sure to keep your eyes peeled!
- Hisuian Samurott VStar
This card is yet another Secret card with a Rainbow Rare version. Hisuian Samurott VSTAR is a strong revenge card that you pull out after losing a tight battle between you and your opponent's Pokemon. This card's Ability, Moon Cleave Star, enables the card's attack to make it more powerful, making it a fantastic way to end matches.
- Hisuian Decidueye VStar
We round out our list with the Hisuian Decidueye VSTAR. Star of Fortune is a great way to keep your deck going, giving you additional gas in the late game. Somersault Feathers, on the other hand, can help you follow up your VSTAR Power will a potential OHKO attack to surprise your opponent. Perfect for taking down your opponents' own VSTAR Pokemon!
