The Colorado Avalanche completely walloped the Nashville Predators in Game 1 of their NHL Playoffs first-round series. The 7-2 defeat was an outright domination on the end of the Avs, and they didn't want the Preds to forget it heading into Game 2. When the Predators took the ice on Thursday morning for a pregame skate, they were greeted with a masterful troll job from the Avalanche, who intentionally left Game 1's scoreboard on the Jumbotron as a kind reminder to their opponents, via Taryn Hatcher.

Talk about rubbing salt in the wound.

The Avalanche were dominant in every facet of the game on Tuesday, out-shooting the Predators 45-25 en route to a five-goal win. They're hoping to get under Nashville's skin early in Game 2, and their pre-game antics will certainly help with sending a message.

The Predators will be determined to avoid another lopsided defeat on Thursday night, and perhaps they can use the Avalanche's trolling as bulletin board material to fire themselves up in order to steal a win on the road. They'll need to muster up any sort of extra motivation they can if they're to stage an upset of the Avalanche, who are widely considered favorites to win the Stanley Cup this season.

Five of Colorado's seven goals came in the first period of the game, with David Rittich surrendering all five within a 15-minute span. He was removed in favor of Connor Ingram, who draws the start in Game 2, hoping to pick up where he left off in relief of Rittich. Ingram was excellent, recording 32 saves on 34 shots on target after coming on late in the first period.
