The Chicago Bears and Oakland Raiders will be playing in London during the 2019 NFL regular season, and Bears defensive linemen Akiem Hicks is already looking forward to it. The part he’s most excited about, though, is being able to impart some wisdom to his fellow teammates.

As part of the NFL’s tour of the country, Akiem Hicks and a handful of other players are in the United Kingdom now, and Hicks has seemingly had fun.

Speaking to the media during his time there, Hicks spoke about how excited he was to be able to head back to Chicago and discuss some of the events with his teammates.

“The beautiful thing about this is I get to go back to Chicago and impart this wisdom upon everybody that hasn’t been over to this game before,” Hicks said via Pro Football Talk. “And I can tell them how you might feel a little jet-lagged when you first get here. Work on your sleeping patterns. Things such as that. Even though the purpose of this event is to enjoy the fans here and allow them to hang out and experience this, it’s going to be beneficial to us because now I can tell guys back home what it feels like and maybe things we can do to perform better when we get here.”

According to reports from the tour, Hicks has gotten a chance to visit the new Tottenham Hotspur stadium where the two NFL teams will play, visited with fans, and even watched some international prospects as they did drills.

The Bears last played in London in 2011, but this new iteration of the team hasn’t made it back anytime recently.

The London game will take place on October 6, and will be classified as an away game for Chicago.
