Expectations are as high as ever for the Chicago Bears going into the 2019 NFL season. It appears there is plenty of hype starting to generate around quarterback Mitchell Trubisky.

There is already plenty of speculation regarding which player will take home 2019 NFL MVP. It seems Trubisky has emerged as the most popular bet to win the award, via B/R Betting.

This is certainly an interesting development regarding the state of the NFL going into the 2019 campaign. He is far from being the odds-on favorite to win the award with several other more high-profile players coming in ahead of him. Regardless, it is clear that bettors are hoping to cash in on his potential as a darkhorse candidate.

Their optimism may be somewhat understandable. Trubisky has established himself as one of the most promising, young quarterbacks in the league following a stellar 2018 campaign in which he tallied a combined 3,644 yards and 27 touchdowns. More importantly, he led Chicago to a 12-4 record as the clear-cut NFC North champs en route to making the Pro Bowl as an alternate for Los Angeles Rams quarterback Jared Goff.

Trubisky made quite a leap in his sophomore season after struggling mightily as a rookie. It is safe to say that the bettors are hoping that he is poised to take another tremendous stride in his development moving forward.

Although individual numbers are often brought to the forefront in these discussions, overall team success can often serve as an overall deciding factor. Trubisky's safest bet will be doing what he can to ensure that offense is able to feed off their formidable defense in 2019.
