The Chicago Bears have racked up plenty of losses this season but none of them were as humiliating as today's 16-13 loss to the Lamar Jackson-less Baltimore Ravens.

The Bears took the lead with less than two minutes left off of a 49-yard touchdown pass from Andy Dalton, who replaced an injured Justin Fields, to Marquise Goodwin. The Chicago defense completely collapsed on the ensuing drive. They allowed the Ravens to score in under 90 seconds thanks to a 29-yard completion from Tyler Huntley to Sammy Watkins that put Baltimore in the red zone. Devonta Freeman rushed in the game-winning touchdown from three yards out.

Bears fans in attendance at Soldier Field let their feelings known by chanting “Fire Nagy”, referring to head coach Matt Nagy, as Chicago recorded the loss.

Nagy, in his fourth year as the Bears' head coach, has made the playoffs twice in his tenure, losing in the Wild Card game each year. This year's team is poor on both ends of the ball and is in third place in the NFC North, with only the winless Detroit Lions below them in the standings. Making a late-season playoff push is unlikely due to the season-ending injury of star edge rusher Khalil Mack.

Chicago's record being so bad stings more because their losing won't result in a high draft pick, as they used their first-round pick in the 2022 draft to trade up and draft Fields in the previous draft.

The Bears have had below-average offenses in the past three seasons and their defense is in the worst shape it has been since Nagy arrived. His days as Chicago's coach may not be numbered just yet but his seat is likely heating up.
