There are few franchises with more pressure for rookies to come into than the Los Angeles Lakers. Brandon Ingram is ready for the challenge, and he has a number of people in his corner supporting him.

The 2016 second overall pick isn't even 20 years old yet. His NBA career will begin at the end of October for an organization about to play their first season in Ingram's lifetime without Kobe Bryant.

Kobe was literally a Laker for Ingram's entire life.

A number of veterans have come to Ingram's side early on, but one in particular has stood out to Brandon.

Ingram, from an appearance on Colin Cowherd's ‘The Herd':

“Well, the NBA veterans that I've been around, they always try to help. Even guys from other teams. When I played with the USA Select Team, all those guys giving me advice. Even guys playing pickup coming to the Lakers facility. (Including) Andre Iguodala.

“I watch a lot of his play defensively. He's a great defensive guy. I even text with him sometimes, and he just tells me it's going to be a process, but I have a chance to be special on the defensive end and offensive end.”

Iguodala's incredible athleticism has been on display throughout his career, but it's his defensive prowess that stands out. With Ingram's natural ability and length, he might be capable of becoming a similar defensive stopper on the perimeter.

Iguodala and Ingram will face off for the first time in the NBA when the Golden State Warriors take on the Lakers in L.A. on November 4th.
