Arizon Cardinals head coach Kliff Kingsbury is trying his best to maintain his offseason program despite the ongoing “coronavirus” pandemic that is sweeping throughout the globe. With the month of May now upon us, Kingsbury believes that things are going quite smoothly thus far as his players jut seem happy to be talking football once again.

“They’ve definitely been receptive to talking football again,” Kingsbury said on Monday during a Zoom-based press conference, via Darren Urban of the team's official website. “It’s been a reprieve for them to bring some normalcy back and to talk football and see their friends and teammates.”

However, the soon-to-be second-year NFL head coach also made a point to make a very telling comment about his rookies — and rookies in general for that matter.

“That’s the one hesitation with Zoom meetings,” Kingsbury said. “Everybody is going to nod and say, ‘Yes sir, I got it,’ but when you get out there [on the field], sometimes they don’t got it.”

The Cardinals finished in last place in the NFC West division last season, though Arizona could very well surprise a few people this season. With former No. 1 overall pick in quarterback Kyler Murray currently gearing up for his second go-round in the desert, the Cardinals notably went out and got receiver DeAndre Hopkins, who was acquired by Arizona via trade earlier this offseason.

Unfortunately for the Cardinals, though, the rival Los Angeles Rams and San Francisco 49ers are the last two NFC Champions while the Seattle Seahawks continue to serve as a perennial playoff team.
