The Boston Celtics are headed to the playoffs for the sixth consecutive season under head coach Brad Stevens.

The Celtics clinched a playoff spot on Tuesday by defeating the Indiana Pacers.

This year's Celtics team could very well redeem last season's club which was dysfunctional from start to finish and lost to the Milwaukee Bucks in the second round of the playoffs in five games. The 2019-20 Boston team will be led by Kemba Walker, Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown and Gordon Hayward once the postseason begins.

Walker signed with the Celtics in free agency because he wanted to go on a deep playoff run. This is one of the best players in the NBA who hasn’t been able to showcase his game on the brightest stage since the Charlotte Hornets were rarely good with him.

Meanwhile, Brown is now playing free and without any worries after getting his contract taken care of — turning into an elite two-way player right before everyone’s eyes.

Tatum made his first All-Star team this season and appears to be just scratching the surface. Celtics president of basketball operations Danny Ainge made the brilliant decision to stick with Tatum and Brown instead of trading them for some of the superstars who have requested trades over the past few seasons.

Hayward, on the other hand, has been fairly consistent this season, but he's going to have to be the “Jazz Gordon Hayward” for the Celtics to win the title.

With the regular season taken care of, the Celtics can now shift their focus on the playoffs, with staying healthy until the postseason their priority.
