The Boston Celtics are staying active this offseason. According to a report from Adam Himmelsbach of The Boston Globe, the Celtics have decided to guarantee Semi Ojeleye's contract for the 2019-20 season.

The Celtics selected Ojeleye with the 37th overall pick in the 2017 NBA Draft, and the team's coaching staff seems to like what they see in his development. He's a hard worker who rarely takes a day off. In fact, Ojeleye is often seen putting in work long after practice has ended.

“Last year specifically, I was always (at the practice facility in Waltham), because I wasn’t playing,” Celtics forward Gordon Hayward told MassLive, referring to Ojelye. “He was still coming in after long road trips, and I was like, ‘Dude, you’re going to wear yourself out. Take a break.'”

In his 56 appearances with the Celtics during their 2018-19 regular season campaign (three starts), Ojeleye racked up averages of 3.3 points on 42.4 percent shooting from the field (31.5 percent from beyond the arc) and 1.5 rebounds in 10.6 minutes per outing.

The Celtics finished the 2018-19 season with a 49-33 overall record, which earned the team a No. 4 seed in the Eastern Conference Playoffs. Unfortunately, though, Boston's season came to an end in the second round, where they were defeated by the Milwaukee Bucks, 4-1.
