Charles Barkley was able to save some face on Tuesday after his failed “guarantee” that the Charlotte Hornets would win. Fortunately, Boston Celtics star  Jayson Tatum was there to make Chuck's second take come true.

Before the play-in for the Eastern Conference officially began, Barkley offered his “guarantee” that the Hornets would edge out the Indiana Pacers. Of course, all Indy fans know what happened, as Oshae Brissett and Co. absolutely demolished Buzz City with a 27-point drubbing.

Of course, Chuck was heavily trolled for what was another severely inaccurate forecast.

Despite that, Charles Barkley didn't stop and made another guarantee for the second game of the play-in on Tuesday. This time, though, he chose the right team in the Celtics.

Luckily for Chuck, Jayson Tatum stepped up big time for the Celtics and made sure the NBA icon would not end the night 0-2 on his takes. The 23-year-old forward banked 50 points as he led Boston to a 118-110 win over the Washington Wizards.

While the Celtics were the favorites to win, we should still credit Barkley for not jinxing it at all. After all, the Wizards were a dangerous team, especially with Russell Westbrook and Bradley Beal leading the way.

Now, the Celtics move on to the playoffs as the seventh seed, while the Wizards play the Pacers next for their final shot to make the postseason.

As for Chuck, he'll probably going home all smiles after a relatively good day on his “guarantees.”
