After winning Game 1 of the NBA Finals against the Golden State Warriors, head coach Ime Udoka warned Jayson Tatum and the rest of the Boston Celtics to not be satisfied with just that. Besides, if there is a time to be greedy for wins, it is the perfect moment.

Udoka made sure to remind that to his Celtics ahead of Game 2 on Sunday. While it's normal for a road team in the playoffs to be contented to win one on the road before the series shifts to their homecourt, Udoka doesn't want his team to have that mentality.

It is already the NBA Finals, and as much as possible, they don't want their opponents to gain any confidence. With that said, he wants the Celtics to play Game 2 with desperation as if they are the ones coming from a loss.

“At times this postseason we’ve played desperate after losses, and we want to have the same mentality after a win, keep the same edge,” Udoka said, per NESN.

“We look at things we could have done a lot better in that game. We played solid overall, they went on a run, we went on a run, but there are things we could have done to be in a better position, especially in that third quarter. So, for us, it’s game by game. We got the first game, now it’s time to be greedy and go for two.”

Ime Udoka certainly couldn't have said it any better. The Celtics know very well they cannot relax after winning just one game. After all, they are up against a Warriors team that has been through the NBA Finals for six times now in the past eight years.

Jayson Tatum and the Celtics got a massive confidence booster with their Game 1 victory. Now, it's time to keep the momentum going in their favor.
