For some strange reason, the recently-traded Isaiah Thomas got the jersey-burning treatment from some Celtics fans. This despite him basically not having any say in him getting traded out of Boston. LeBron James and Jaylen Brown have been quick to come to Thomas' defense and condemn those incidents of people burning Thomas' jersey on social media.

In the light of those jersey burnings, though, one fan decided to give Thomas' jersey a different kind of treatment.

Thomas may have spent just two-plus seasons with the Celtics, but he made quite an impact in that short time. He quickly grew into one of the more popular players in recent times for the Celtics, in large part due to his amazing play on the court. But he also endeared himself even more to the Boston faithful by showing his strength amid great personal loss during last season's playoffs.

Thomas himself admitted that he wanted to stay in Boston “for years to come,” and the fact that he didn't isn't on him. For all he did for the franchise during his relatively short stint, he really didn't deserve that type of treatment.

Hopefully, the sentiments of that one grateful Celtics fan are a more accurate reflection of how the majority of Boston fans feel about Thomas than the ones who felt the need to burn a beloved Celtic's jersey.
