Jaylen Brown, meanwhile, aspires to play his entire career with the Celtics. The talented swingman signed a rookie-scale extension with Boston before the 2019-20 season started.

The COVID-19 suspension has been in effect for almost three weeks now. Prior to the season getting suspended, Brown and the Celtics were in third place in the Eastern Conference standings with a record of 43-21. For his part, Brown was averaging 20.4 points, 6.4 rebounds and 2.2 assists for Boston.

Thomas, meanwhile, was out of the NBA before the season was suspended. He got traded by the Washington Wizards to the Los Angeles Clippers at the trade deadline. The Clippers then waived the former Celtics All-Star.

Thomas has played in 525 games with the Sacramento Kings, Phoenix Suns, Boston, Cleveland Cavaliers, Los Angeles Lakers, Denver Nuggets and Washington Wizards. He holds career averages of 18.1 points, 2.5 rebounds and 5.0 assists per game. He’s a two-time All-Star. Both those appearances came with the Celtics.
